What is DOXA?

"According to Plato, doxa is reflected by the world of Ideas, is the knowledge of perception and the accuracy of it cannot attribute to any reality, unproved assumption.

Now then, doxa is a popular opinion or common belief of people which are not proved.

Descartes has refused the colors since they are not proved. Many philosophers has despised doxa which is defined as “although it seems real, it is not”. Maybe, without thinking math and music are also doxa. Isn’t it the colours that designate our choices most of the time.

While they were questioning the truth, they neglect the doxa (fake sight of the truth). In object-mind relationship, they were featuring mind but ignore the fact that doxa is created by the mind itself.

Life is doxa. The life is all about holding on truths that we create on our minds. The origin of both happiness and misery is doxa. Each individual build his/her own doxa by himself/herself.

Life is doxa. Living, even being an individual is doxa. Emotions and perceptions as well. We are looking at our life that doxa has built and we rejoice, grieve, suffer and hanker. Sometimes living is about holding on all of these tightly. Every person will recognize doxa or they will be lost in their lying fact’s illusion.

Here, our starting point was our own doxa. Our goal is reaching every doxa by adding our love, confidence, perceptions and emotions to the product we make. Answering all of the expectations through design, color and our esthetic feelings. We would like to create peaceful places. We are not chasing absolute truth, absolute reality.

The factory which was established by Canakcilar Group of Companies that has an industrial background for 44 years, with the name of Çanakcılar Yapı Malzemeleri A.Ş. ( Canakcilar Building Materials Inc.) in the year 2007 has also been a prosperous enterprise in a short time with it’s qualified staff, modern factory building and machine park equipped with computer controlled CNC machines.

Doxa plant premises has been located in Caydegirmeni district of Devrek county of Zonguldak city in Turkey, manufacturing in a closed area of about 18.000 m² lay on 35.000 m² open area. Together with the new premises which is under construction now, total closed area will reach of 38.000 m² lay on 80.000 m² open space in the year 2011. Mass-production capacity is of 600 modules per day processing by computer controlled machines (CNC) and 150 qualified and professional staff.
